i moved from california to london few months ago thanks trump. used to play at draftkings and fanduel back in the states using paypal and venmo. tried logging into draftkings here and account doesnt work anymore. another unpleasant surprise us gambling sites dont work in uk. what are good uk casino sites and what payment methods do they use? do they take paypal like draftkings did?
also are there any offshore sites that work for both us and uk? would be nice to keep same account.
any advice from people who made similar move appreciated

First of all welcome to UK gambling friend, but prepare it's quite different from US market for sure

Major UK operators:
- Bet365 (largest, accepts PayPal, cards, some e-wallets)
- William Hill (traditional bookmaker, similar payment options)
- Betway (good for sports and casino)
- 888 Casino (established online casino)
- Sky Bet (Sky Sports affiliated)

Payment methods in UK:
- Debit cards (most common)
- PayPal (accepted at Bet365, some others)
- MuchBetter (e-wallet, fast deposits/withdrawals)
- ecoPayz (another e-wallet option)
- Bank transfer (slower but available)

Important differences from US:
- No Venmo or Cash App for gambling in UK
- Credit cards banned for gambling since 2020
- Tighter responsible gambling controls (deposit limits, verification)
- Different game selection (more international sports, different casino games)

Offshore sites: Crypto casinos (Stake, Roobet, etc.) work from most countries including UK but they're not UKGC licensed. If you want proper regulation, stick to UK licensed sites only.

@bill_collins thanks for detailed breakdown and everyone else too. didnt realise credit cards were banned thats... lets say unpleasant. backin us i used credit card freely tbh. so bet365 is main recommendation? does it have nfl betting and stuff or mostly uk sports?

Cheers @T1m0thY! Bet365 has extensive NFL coverage, all major US sports actually. They're one of the biggest bookmakers globally so they cover everything. Interface is quite different from DraftKings/FanDuel less flashy, more utilitarian. Some Americans find it old-fashioned at first but as @coinwaste already mentioned you'll get used to it.

For payment, I'd suggest:
  1. Try PayPal first if you have UK bank account linked
  2. If PayPal doesn't work for gambling (some UK banks block it), use debit card
  3. Maybe consider setting up MuchBetter as well

bet365 is solid choice for us to uk transition. william hill is good option too. both have american sports coverage. main adjustment to mention here - odds format (decimal is default in uk not american), different promotions structure, stricter verification requirements and no same game parlays on every sport like draftkings

brooo im sorry you had to move tump realy embarrassing us. look i moved from ny to manchester 2 years ago too and went from betmgm to bet365 as my main site. took me few weeks to adjust to decimal odds but now i prefer them. paypal works fine for deposits and withdrawals usually come through in 1-2 days so don't worry about that bro

what about those crypto casinos like stake? do they work better for someone moving between countries i mean since they dont care where you are..?
