been meaning to start this for a bit. july was an absolute avalanche of releases and i want to know what people actually rate now they've had a few weeks on them rather than the day one hype
for me its been dog house megaways 1000 mostly. put maybe 300 spins through it. the 1000x multiplier wilds sound mental on paper but honestly it plays way calmer than i expected. medium vol, hits the free spins fairly regular. its fine. not blown away. feels like pragmatic did the same thing they always do and slapped 1000 on the end of a name we already know
also messed about with the new no-limit airport one. that ones proper different

what you all been on

Dog House Megaways 1000 for me too but I have to say it's been dead. Played it across three sessions and the bonus gives you nothing. Same as every Dog House really, looks nice, promises the world, eats your balance.
25000x max win they're advertising and I couldn't clear 40x in a bonus. The multiplier wilds barely showed up. Feels deader than the old Dog House Megaways to me even if the number in the corner is twice as big.

@Mallorca thats the weird thing tho isn't it. the OLD dog house Megaways was only like 12000x max but it was properly HIGH vol. This new one has double the max win at 25000x but they DROPPED the volatility to medium. Sdo you've got a bigger number in the corner and a tamer game underneath. more small wins that just bleed you slower while the big number stares at you

Worth being precise on the nambers because there's some confusion in here already. The Dog House Megaways 1000 runs 96.5% RTP on the top version, medium volatility, 25,000x max. The original Dog House Megaways was high volatility with a 12,305x cap.
So @Steven93 has it right. max win roughly dubled versus the original Megaways - 12,305x up to 25,000x - but the volatility dropped from high to medium. That combination is exactly why it feels the way @Mallorca's describing. A bigger headline ceiling but a lower-variance game means you get more frequent small returns and fewer of the big dry-then-spike swings the old high-vol version gave you. Steadier bleed, bigger number you'll never reach. The max win hit frequency is 1 in about 9 million spins. You are not seeing that number. Nobody in this thread is seeing that number.
Also note there are 95.5% and 94.5% versions floating about depending on the casino. Check what your site is running before you complain about it being tight.

yeah that explains it. site i'm on is probably running the 94.5 version knowing my luck. thanks for the actual numbers, i was going off feel

ok so i actually like the dog house one. i know thats not the popular opinion here. its not exciting but its a comfortable grind. i put it on while doing other things and it doesn't demand anything from me. the diamond cats energy but with dogs i guess. no limit airport one on the other hand nearly gave me a headache. AFK Airport Security. its loud, its chaotic, the swearing in the soundtrack, twelve random features firing at once. i cant tell if i loved it or hated it. probably both

exactly my pain with the whole industry right now. dog house megaways 1000. think about that name for a second. its a sequel to a megaways version of a game from 2019 with a number bolted on. thats FOUR iterations of the same dog. meanwhile they release what, three games a week? none of it is new. its all just numbers going up on names we already know.
25000x max win means nothing when the hit frequency is one in nine million. its a marketing number. its there to look big in the corner of the screen

brooo complains about pragmatic releasing too much then everyone plays it anyway 💀 and dog house prints money for them thats WHY there's four of them. they arent gonna stop giving people what they buy
ngl i haven't played the new one yet, still on gates of olympus super scatter from earlier this year. that ones been good to me

The Dog House Megaways 1000 is a competent sequel and that's about the ceiling of what I'd say for it. If you want my honest take on July the more interesting release mechanically was AFK Airport Security, purely because No-limit City is at least still trying to do something with their feature design even when it doesn't fully land.

The airport slot runs three RTP versions - 96.07, 94.06, 92.05 - and max volatility, 5 out of 5. 19,693x max win. The twelve random features stacking is genuinely chaotic but it's the kind of chaos that has structure to it if you play enough of it. That said, it reviewed around 3.6 out of 5 across most places, which is fair. It's mid-tier Nolimit. Their best work bites harder.

The thing worth flagging for anyone here: both these games have configurable RTP. Operators choose which version they run. You can be playing the 92% airport build without knowing it. Always check!

Been at this a long time and I'll say what I always say. The max win figures are the least useful number on the screen. 25,000x, 19,693x, doesn't matter. You'll never see it. What matters is hit frequency and how the bonus round actually pays on a normal trigger, and on both these July games the answer is "fine, nothing special." Airport slot at least has an identity. The Dog House 1000 is Pragmatic doing what Pragmatic does. Neither is essential. Both are perfectly playable if you like the studio. That's the whole review.

I played ze airport one for about an hour on friday night after a rough week. bought the bonus twice cos im an idiot. first one gave me nothing, like 8x back on a 100x buy. second one actually stacked a few features and got me to about 340x which felt incredible for about ten minutes until i remembered id spent more than that getting there.
thats nolimit for you. they make you feel like the big one is always one buy away. its not. its one in eleven million away. but the feeling is the product really isn't it.

feeling is the product. thats the most accurate thing anyone has said about nolimit city

@sufferinsilence buying the bonus on a max vol nolimit is a special kind of pain. I've done the same thing. you tell yourself you'll just do one and then the one gives you 8x back and now you HAVE to do another to make it right and thats the trap innit...

Bonus buy is what's killing my bankroll this year tbh. Even more UK players can't even buy features anymore because of the ban but I'm on offshore for that reason so i guess it's a discipline problem. When the button is right there it's too easy

Yeah @Mallorca that's real pain for the UK players in here. Feature buys have been banned on UKGC licensed sites since 2019. So if you're playing Dog House or AFK Airport Security on a UK licensed casino you physically won't have the buy option. If you do have the buy button, you're on an offshore site, which means no UK consumer protection on that account. Worth knowing which side of that line you're on before you're chasing a 500x feature buy at 2am.

configurable RTP point slotking raised earlier is the one that actually matters and it gets ignored every time one of these threads comes up. a slot isn't a fixed product. dog house megaways 1000 exists as 96.5, 95.5 and 94.5. the airport slot as 96.07, 94.06, 92.05. same game, same art, same max win in the corner. two full percentage points of difference in what it returns over time depending entirely on a choice the operator made that you can't see from the lobby.

you're not comparing games when you compare sessions. you're comparing configurations you don't have visibility into. that's the actual reason your "feel" for a slot varies wildly between sites.

100% and this is why the whole "this slot is tight" conversation is basically pointless. tight compared to what version, on what site. the game is a different game depending on where you play it and they all look identical

ok then how do you actually find out which rtp version a casino is running? is it written somewhere or whatever..?

@Downsman pretty good question and the honest answer is it's harder than it should be. On UK licensed sites the RTP has to be displayed in the game info/paytable, usually accessible from the menu inside the game. Look for the "i" or the rules screen and it'll state the theoretical RTP. If it says 94.5% on Dog House, you're on a reduced version. But if you're on offshore sites it's inconsistent. Some show it, some don't. If you can't find it stated anywhere, assume they're running a lower version, because if they were running the best one they'd usually tell you. It's a selling point when it's good.

got ya appreciate dat, didn't realise it was in the paytable. gonna check what i've been playing now. but probably don't want to know lol
