Hey everyone! Not sure if this is the right thread, so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. I recently hung out with some friends at a casino, and they were talking about video poker. I didn’t interrupt them at the time, but now I have no clue what video poker is or if it’s even worth playing. Google didn’t really help me understand what it’s all about.
Has anyone here played video poker? Is it worth it? How is it different from regular poker? Is it something like live dealer poker or something else entirely? Where do you guys play, and do you have any cool strategies or tips to play more successfully? I’d appreciate any info. Who knows, maybe this is the thing I’ve been waiting for my whole life and just didn’t realize it! Thanks!

True, but finding those games and playing perfectly is easier said than done.

For beginners, I'd suggest starting with Jacks or Better. It's the simplest variant to learn.

Always play max coins. The royal flush payout is usually disproportionately higher on max bet.
