Michigan just sent 33 letters and one of them went to a site i use

I'd put the other side of that because it's not been a clean win from where I sit. offers got noticeably worse at the same time. my old bet365 account used to get combined sport and casino promos and those are gone entirely now, not capped, gone. so I've lost a thing I used and gained a cap on a thing I didn't much use
I'm not saying the rule is wrong. I'm saying when people here talk about regulation protecting players, it protected a player who isn't me

That is a fair hit and I would not argue with it. The mixed product ban removes a product that suited some people in order to reduce harm to others, and the people it suited are entitled to be annoyed about it.

I would still take the trade. But I am not the one who lost the offer.

and heres what does my head in about uk sites. no buy feature, no autoplay, 2.5 seconds a spin minimum, £5 max stake, bonuses capped and now no mixed offers. offshore i get all of it. thats not me being reckless thats me wanting for the product i used to have

I've been reading around this whole area for about two years without depositing anywhere, which makes me the least qualified and the most patient person in the thread.

What I'd say to @PokerDuke is that the question is the wrong shape. You asked which site is good and will still be there. Nobody can tell you the second part, so the useful question is what you lose if you're wrong.

On a licensed site in your state, if it goes you get a regulator, a process and probably your balance.
On an offshore site, if it goes you get a closed tab. That's not an argument for one or the other. It's the number you should be putting next to every name in this thread, and nobody has.

ok thats a better framing than mine and i don't love it because the answer for me is i lose everything in the account and there's nothing after that. im in a restricted state. the licensed option isn't sat there waiting for me

Right, that's me exactly, and I've been through about six platforms in three years so here's practical version with the bad bits included
- bitstarz. been on it longest, crypto, games are good, support is fine. downside is you need a vpn depending where you are and that is against their terms, so you're one review away from a problem you created yourself
- bovada. us facing, fiat and crypto, been there forever. downside is the odds are mediocre and the casino side is thin
- metawin. no vpn needed which is why i moved to it, mines and towers which are my games. downside is its newer and i don't have years on it
- stake.us. sweepstakes model, works in most states. downside is its a sweepstakes model and that is its own legal grey area

and the one I'd warn anyone off, yabby. i won 2k there once and getting it out was a month of posting forms and hoops and they authorised a fraction of it in the end. never again

Yabby banned me outright and based on my experience that follows you. If you get banned from one casino you typically can't get into its sister sites either, so losing one account can quietly lose you four. That's worth more attention than anyone gives it when they're picking a site. Find out who owns it and what else they own, because you're not opening one account, you're opening a relationship with a group.

How do you find out who 's behind a site, its never on the front page
footer, usually. the licence line names the company and the jurisdiction and that's the thing to search, not the brand name
the other way round is better though. instead of starting with a site and checking its reputation, start with the complaints and work backwards. i spent a while last year reading casinomeister and askgamblers threads and the pattern you want is not zero complaints, its complaints that got resolved. a site with no complaints is usually just small
a site with fourteen complaints and fourteen replies from a rep is in better shape than one with two complaints and silence

Better method than mine and I have been doing mine for years. Resolved complaints over no complaints. Stealing that 🙏

or u could just deposit 20 and find out in an afternoon like a normal person
honestly thats not a bad test and i do it too. it tells you about deposits and the lobby. it tells you nothing about what happens when there's a dispute, which is the only part that matters and the only part you cant test cheaply

Nobody has mentioned VIP and for the level some of you play at it is the biggest thing on the table. Real VIP setup gets you a named manager, faster everything, higher limits and offers that are not on the public page. I have custom contacts at a few groups and the difference between having one and not having one is enormous.

By the way @PokerDuke if you are moving, the thing to ask before you deposit is what their VIP track looks like and what it takes to get on it. Most people find out 18 months in.

I'd want to put a flag on that, respectfully, because VIP is the one area where the thing being sold and the thing being bought are not the same thing. From the operator's side a VIP programme is a retention product. Its purpose is to make leaving expensive. The named manager, the faster service, the private offers, those are real benefits and they are also the mechanism.

Obviously I am not saying don't take it. I am saying if the reason you stay somewhere is that you have status there, then you have been successfully charged for the status, and the price was every alternative you stopped considering.

Both true at once. It is a retention product and it also gets your issue fixed in an hour instead of a week. I would rather have it than not.
