How do you check online casino's license?

Hi. I recently read an article that the casinos I was playing at (Ray Casinos with lots of sister sites) are NOT licensed at all. They all claimed to have a Malta license, but they actually didn't. And, of course, I only figured this out when I tried to make my first withdrawal, which was unsuccessful. Now, I'm afraid to play at any casinos since I have no idea how to check if they are legit. Is there a quick way to check this? Thank you. Sincerely yours, Looser Qualski.

Damn, that sucks man. Always gotta do your homework before depositing. Here's a quick tip: most legit casinos have their license number at the bottom of their homepage. Google that number + the licensing authority (like Malta Gaming Authority) and you should find it listed on the official site.

Thanks, X_Force. I'll definitely start doing that from now on. Do you know if there's any way to report these fake casinos?

As someone who's been in the industry for a while, I can tell you that licensing is just the tip of the iceberg. You also want to look at things like:
  1. How long has the casino been operating?
  2. What software providers do they use? (Reputable providers won't work with sketchy casinos)
  3. What payment methods do they offer? (More options usually = more legitimate)
  4. What's their reputation on forums like this one?
Remember, a license is a good start, but it's not a 100% guarantee of fair play.

Glad you asked, @Qualski. Some of the top providers include:
  1. NetEnt
  2. Microgaming
  3. Playtech
  4. Evolution Gaming (for live casino)
  5. IGT
  6. Yggdrasil
If you see these names, it's generally a good sign. But always do your due diligence!

lmao @ "Looser Qualski" 😂 But for real, been there done that. These days I always check casinomeister.com before I play anywhere new. They keep a pretty solid blacklist of rogue casinos.

Here's a pro tip: use a separate email for all your casino accounts. Makes it easier to keep track of where you've signed up and helps you spot phishing attempts.

@Ev.Lab is right. But remember to take individual reviews with a grain of salt. Some people will bash a casino just 'cause they lost. Look for patterns in the feedback.

Honey, all this talk about licenses is important, but don't forget the most important thing - only gamble what you can afford to lose. All the licenses in the world won't protect you if you're betting the rent money. Stay safe out there! 💖

Another thing to watch out for: some shady casinos will buy a legit license, operate clean for a while to build trust, then start scamming. Always stay vigilant, even with licensed casinos.
