Curacao just told every crypto casino to screen wallets and ban mixers. this changes a lot

That's the majority of players and it's the point worth making. people this genuinely disrupts are a small minority with deliberately complicated setups.

question nobodys asked yet. what happens to a site that cant meet dat? do they lose the license or do they just shift to anjouan like the others did

@Taekim they shift. thats what the whole 2025 migration was, operators looking at the LOK and deciding it wasn't worth it. this produces a second wave of the same between now and mid 2027
which means the practical outcome of curacao tightening up is that the sites least able to meet compliance standards end up in the jurisdiction with the weakest oversight, and the players on those sites have the least protection at exactly the moment they'd need it most

worth noting that's the pattern anywhere standards rise, not something curacao-specific. operators who can meet the bar stay and get more credible. ones who cant leave and get less credible. overall standard of the licensed market goes up, overall standard of what's available to players stays about the same, because the bad operators are still operating, just from somewhere else.

whether that's an improvement depends entirely on whether players can tell the difference. most cant. the licence is a footer link

nobody checks. i didn't check. bitbetcasino had a licensa badge in the footer linking to nothing and i deposited anyway because the site looked professional and the bonus was good.
that's how it actually goes for most people. everyone in this thread is more careful than average and were still describing a system that only protects the careful.

where i've landed after a week of reading this:
  • - on a CGA licensed site with a straightforward setup - buy from a major exchange, withdraw to your own consistent address, usdt or usdc - this changes very little and arguably improves your position because the operator is now under real supervision
  • - if your setup leans on privacy coins, p2p acquisition, multiple hops or anything built to be hard to trace, that stops working on curacao sites between now and june 2027 and you should plan for it rather than find out when a withdrawal hangs
  • - and if your site quietly moves to anjouan in the next twelve months, understand what you just gave up

Going to run a proper test set over the next few months. same amounts, same sites, new address vs established address, see what the timings do around sept and dec when the deadlines land.
Will post results. Curious whether the phases actually show up in withdrawal data or whether nothing moves until 2027 gets close.

sure @aviator would be interested. one thing worth capturing if you can, whether the delay is at site level or chain level. funds leaving their wallet quickly and sitting unconfirmed is different from the site holding the request in a review queue. tells you where the friction actually is

thats the correct reaction and its also worth sitting with the fact that reconsidering how you buy usdt because a caribbean gaming regulator published a policy document is itself the thing thats hapening here
