Blackrush turned up out of nowhere. anyone know if its worth moving to

the bit that should bother kiwis more is the cross-sell. entain already have the only legal sports betting in the country through a 25 year deal with TAB. their CEO has said straight out they'd be the only operator able to cross-sell across products. so if they land their three casino licences, one company has sport locked up and a fifth of the casino market
she put the whole thing at about 600 million a year and reckoned entain's already taking 200 of it, with the new brands pushing past 300
that's not a competitive market thats a head start with a fence round it

15 licences for a country of 5 million is quite a lot though isn't it? or is that the wrong way to thnk about it

or skip all of it. crypto site, no poli, no bank declining your deposit, no popup telling you to have a lie down
fifteen licences and a 16% duty and you're all sat here working out which cage has the nicest bars

Crypto solves the payment problem. It does nothing for the licensing one. The Act reaches any operator that lets a New Zealand resident gamble, wherever it sits and whatever it settles in. A crypto casino serving Kiwis after the transition is an unlicensed operator serving Kiwis, and what changes isn't your deposit method, it's whether there's anyone to complain to when the payout stops.
I use crypto casinos constantly. I'd still rather the operator was somewhere a regulator can reach.

Mostly it doesn't, which is the honest answer and the weak point in the whole design. What it can reach is payment rails and advertising. That's how these regimes actually bite - not catching the operator, making it awkward to pay them and illegal to promote them.
Go ask Brazilian players how the last six months have gone...

is same story everywere. first they say we protect you, then good sites leave and whats left is three big one with worse bonus
in my country after licensing welcome offer went from 200% to 100% with more wagering. protection cost me 100%

whats skycity doing in all this, they're the obvious local one. they already run an online casino out of malta and have done for years. if anyone walks into a licence surely its them

They're on the EOI list. But a foreign licence buys them nothing here - the Act is explicit that holding one from a recognised regulator doesn't entitle you to a New Zealand one. They apply like everyone else and they can be refused like everyone else.

Wouldn't assume the land-based history helps either. Different licence, different test, and the DIA has never licensed an online casino before so nobody knows what it weighs.

does SkyCity online even take poli? i looked once and couldn't find it, but every comparison page says it does

ok ik its dumb follow up but is it actually illegal for me to play on an unlicensed one after dec or is it just illegal for them

went past my old local on sunday and theres a new sign up calling the gaming room a lounge bar now. nine machines behind a partition and they've called it a lounge. meanwhile entain need four written strategies and a business plan to put a slot on a website
mate every thread about anything turns into the pokies with you.. they're a different act, a different regulator and a different fight. doesn't mean you're wrong it just means its not this

so is anyone actually on blackrush yet or are we all just reading about it
i made an account last night out of curiosity. lobby looks like every other entain skin, nothing in the promos tab at all, and the cashier only showed me cards and a bank transfer option i didn't recognise
