bet365 casino feeling noticeably worse in 2026 - is it just me or did something actually change???

four year bet365 customer. never really had complaints. decent platform, decent game selection, always paid out without fuss. but since the start of this year something feels off.
like welcome offer situation first: they've switched to the "10 days of free spins" thing where you deposit a tenner and click to reveal how many spins you get each day. day one i clicked and got 5. five spins. on a £10 deposit. my mate got 50 on day one and i got 5. it's a lucky dip which i thought was just new player excitement but then i looked at what sky vegas and betway were offering as welcome promos and the gap is significant.
so for existing players it's basically dead. the prize wheel thing is fine as background noise but it's not a proper ongoing promotion programme. i played about £200 through their casino in may and got nothing beyond the weekly wheel. same spend on sky bet last year came with free spin drops every other week.
and slots - maybe this is in my head but sessions feel shorter for the same money. like my tenner used to last a certain amount of time and it doesn't anymore.

is any of this real or am i just unlucky lately?

noticed the same mate and i barely play casino. my mrs uses it regular and she's said a few times recently that it feels like the bonuses have dried up compared to last year. she's on it mainly for the slots. cant tell you if the RTP changed but the promotions side is definitely thinner

yeah 10 days of free spins thing is genuinely poor compared to what i remember from when i first signed up two years ago. i understand the mechanics - it builds daily engagement - but getting 5 spins on day one of a "welcome" offer doesn't feel particularly welcome. moved most of my casino play to betway this year just for better ongoing offers tbh. bet365 sportsbook i still use but the casino product feels like the investment has come out of it

also slots feeling tighter is something i've seen mentioned in a few places now and it's not just you. there's been quiet discussion on a couple of forums about RTP settings on bet365 casino dropping. not confirmed officially but the anecdotal volume of people saying exactly what you're saying has increased since april

switched to betway for casino in march actually. offers are meaningfully better and game selection is similar. kept bet365 for football betting because the live markets are better there. but the casino product on bet365 has been declining for a while and this year it feels like they've basically accepted that and stopped trying to compete on promos tho

something that might be relevant: i read a report from industry sources a couple months back saying bet365 paused two planned UK product launches this year. wasn't specific about what the products were. privately held company so nothing confirmed.but the timing lines up with what people are describing-investment being pulled back from the UK casino product.

@slotking by paused product launches - what kind of products are we talking? new game types? live casino expansion? or else?
couldn't say with any certainty as reporting didn't specify and bet365 didn't comment. they never do on this kind of thing. privately held, closed book. but the pattern of pulling back on casino promos and pausing product investment in the same period is probably connected.

Honestly not surprising if true. Bet365 is not alone. At least two mid-tier operators have taken similar decisions this year - scaling back UK-specific product development while waiting to see how the regulatory economics settle. Operators who move first on new UK product launches right now are taking on R&D cost in an environment where the return is genuinely unclear. I think its better to wait and see.

if they're pausing products because the ROI isn't there in UK casino right now, what does that say about where the UK casino market is heading. the UK has always been seen as one of the premium markets globally. if major operators are throtling investment here something has shifted
