Miowex.com took everything and now want more "verification deposits"

if they ran it for even a week at moderate volume? easily $50k-100k. low overhead (just hosting/domain), no real gambling infrastructure needed since wins are fake, exit before anyone can pursue legally
sure profitable enough scam model which is why it keeps happening
 
fuuck so the games weren't even real? like the slots and stuff were all just programmed to show fake wins like demos? that's actually kinda impressive from a technical standpoint even if its evil

It's relatively simple. Clone legitimate slot HTML, modify RTP values to 110%+, remove actual RNG and replace with predetermined "winning" sequences, add fake balance counter. No actual gambling mechanism needed since payouts never process.
Total development time for someone competent: under 48 h.

when you say so it is but how would you even check if a casino is legit before playing? i was thinkin of trying some crypto sites too

Pretty simple checks, here:
  1. Domain age (avoid anything under 6 months)
  2. Licensing - check if license number is real on regulator website
  3. Search "[site] + scam/review/complaint"
  4. Check gambling forums for user experiences
  5. Start with tiny deposit to test withdrawal process
  6. If it seems too good to be true, it is

yeah i fucked up. yeah i should have checked. yeah i was thinking with my dick instead of my brain cause lesson learned: if you're down bad, getting more down bad chasing fake opportunities aint the answer blablah
gonna call action fraud tomorrow and file a report even though i know the moneys gone. maybe it helps someone else not fall for this shit

honestly all those celeb and other influencers might go to hell with all the shit they advertse. i guess 50% of that shit never happened if they'd be legally banned from doing that shit

You're not an idiot, you were targeted by people who are very good at exploiting psychological vulnerabilities. They've refined these techniques across thousands of victims.
Being down $12k for the year put you in exactly the headspace they need - desperate for a win, willing to take risks, diminished critical thinking due to stress.
Learn from it, but don't beat yourself up forever we're all humans after all
