Hi fam, Iveen doing matched betting and bonus hunting for about 2 years but lately getting restricted or banned from every site within weeks. William Hill limited me to £0.50 max bet, bet365 banned me completely, even smaller sites like virgin bet are getting aggressive with restrictions. Is this the end of profitable bonus hunting or just need to be more careful? Seems like they're using AI to spot advantage players now

same here mate!! got gubbed by skybet last week just for taking their sign up offer and actually winning £300. its becoming impossible to make any money from welcome bonuses when they restrict you after one bet. used to be able to milk sites for months before getting noticed
these algorithms are getting too smart... probably analyzing betting patterns and ip addresses and god knows what else. they want mugs who lose money not people who know how to beat their promotions

The golden era of bonus hunting is definitely over. Used to be able to make £2-3k per month easily just working through signup offers.
Now they track everything - bet sizing, game selection, withdrawal patterns, even browser fingerprinting. If you deviate from recreational player behavior you get flagged immediately.
Still possible but need to be much more sophisticated. Can't just hammer max stakes on low-variance bets anymore.

what methods you guys using to stay under radar? heard some people use different devices/vpns but that seems risky
also wondering if certain game types trigger restrictions faster than others

@ternur vpns are pointless they check payment methods and aadresses anyway. so best strategy ive found is mixing recreational bets with +ev ones. place some accumulator losers to look like a mug then hit the value when you find it. but honestly the edge is so slim now with all the restrictions might not be worth the hassle anymore. thinking about getting a proper job lol

hey lads what exactly is bonus hunting is? sounds like easy money if done right huh

It's not easy money anymore. Bonus hunting involves taking promotional offers from betting sites and using mathematical betting strategies to guarantee profit regardless of outcome.
Basic example: Site offers £10 free bet when you place £10. You bet £10 on Team A to win, then lay the same bet on an exchange (betting against Team A). This guarantees you break even on the qualifying bet but keep the free bet value.
Used to be very profitable when sites were desperate for customers. Now they're much smarter about detecting and restricting advantage players.

@TheAddict extremely right about dat. Exchanges also got wise and started limiting arbers which makes laying off bets difficult
remember when you could sign up to any bookie, take their bonus and clear it without worrying about restrictions? Those days are long gone. Now you're lucky to get through one promo cycle before they limit your account to pennies

paddy power gubbed me after literally one matched bet lmao £20 free bet and they spotted me immediately
their risk management algorithms must be mental now. probably flag anyone who places mathematically perfect hedge bets

casino bonuses still decent if you know what you're doing slots bonuses easier to hide than sports betting
hard for them to prove you're bonus hunting when you're just playing slots with optimal strategy

The arms race between operators and advantage players has shifted decisively in favor of the operators. Modern risk management systems employ machine learning algorithms that analyze hundreds of behavioral data points in real-time.

Key factors they monitor include:
  • Bet timing and frequency patterns
  • Stake sizing relative to account balance
  • Market selection preferences
  • Device and location consistency
  • Withdrawal timing after promotions
The most sophisticated operators can now identify advantage players within 5-10 bets with high confidence. This is fundamentally different from the manual review processes used even 3-4 years ago.
For reg players, this creates a challenging environment where legitimate winners also face restrictions. The algorithmic approach lacks nuance in distinguishing between advantage players and skilled recreational bettors.
From an industry perspective, this represents a maturation of the market. The customer acquisition costs of the early online betting boom were unsustainable, and tighter bonus restrictions reflect a more disciplined approach to profitability.

@bill_collins proper depressing but probabkly true. i guess we had a good run while it lasted. time to find a new side hustle

thanks everyone seems like consensus is the easy money days are over. might focus on casino bonuses and european sites that are still a bit behind on the detection tech
