and here we are again you see ive been depositing on a site since about march, decent enough, withdrawals fine up till now
clicked the curacao seal at the bottom last night out of boredom and it doesnt load. not an error page, it just sits there. tried the register on the CGA site and searched the company name off the terms page and theres nothing

is that a big deal or do these things break all the time??
 
it's a big deal and there's a specific reason it's happening to a lot of sites right now, so worth knowing the mechanism rather than just panicking.
curacao replaced the whole system in dec 2024. the LOK killed the master licence model, where a handful of master licensees handed out subsistence to hundreds of operators with barely any oversight, and replaced it with each operator holding its own licence direct from the CGA. named beneficial owners, real fees, local presence.

register went from something like 1,200 operators under the old model to around 330 active licenses by early this year. the ones that never completed the transition have been dropping off in batches, and every time a batch goes, a pile of white label brands are left running with a seal in the footer that no longer resolves to anything.
so the seal not loading is exactly the symptom. it doesn't necessarily mean they're stealing from you tomorrow. it means whatever protection you thought you had, you don't have it now.

@coinwaste get a withdrawal in tonight. Not all of it, whatever your normal amount is. If it clears at normal speed you have time to think. If it suddenly needs documents it never needed before, you have your answer.

And that's the bit I'd say to everyone reading rather than just you. Every one of these sites will find a reason to want ID at the exact moment the money is going out and not one minute before. I have never seen an exception to that in four years of doing this. Not one.
 
or dont panic and just carry on...ive been playing new launches for two years, always test with a small withdrawal first, never had a site not pay me. the seal in the footer has never once been the thing that decided whether i got paid

That's crude but it's closer to true than most people realize, and the CGA says so itself.
Its own site states that resolving disputes between players and operators is not within its mandate. It cannot order an operator to compensate you and it is not a civil court. So the regulator is not your recourse under the new system either.

What you actually have is the ADR route. CADRE is the most visible certified provider, certification CGA/ADR/2025/01, and it's free to the player regardless of outcome because the operator carries the costs. Worth knowing that CADRE also holds certification from Anjouan and Tobique, so it's the same door for operators under all three.
 
they didn't drop licensing, they change jurisdiction. withdrew from curacao voluntarily in december 2024 and went to anjouan. that's a different thing from operating with nothing.
anjouan is the budget flag. roughly seventeen to twenty two thousand for the first year depending which source you read, approval in a month or so, no tax on gaming revenue, no local staff required. you need a registered company with an address on the island and that's the list.
curacao now wants a physical office, a named local key person and three local employees by year five. the hard staffing deadline got pushed to april 2027. so you can see why everyone left.
 
Number to keep in your head on no-kyc sites is the threshold, not the license. Most of them will let you register and deposit with an email and nothing else. verification kicks in on a big win, unusual activity or cumulative withdrawals crossing a limit. Commonly somewhere between two and ten grand depending on the site
So "no kyc" means no kyc until you're up. which is when you need it to mean something
 
this is why i do KYC the day i register now, everywhere, before i've got a balance worth arguing about
sat ten days on a payout once purely because i left it. never again
 
or just play somewhere with an actual VIP manager and none of this ever happens to you bb 💅
 
Wellp if anyone trying to work out where their site actually sits, the map is roughly this now:
- Curaçao post-LOK: hardest to get, real ownership disclosure, crypto held in entity wallets only with personal wallets banned outright. A seal that verifies means something it didn't mean in 2023.​
- Anjouan: cheap and fast, over 950 casinos by last year, more than 200 new licences in twelve months on one industry count. Complaint process required, enforcement record thin.​
- Tobique: around thirty six thousand a year, no local presence needed.​
- Kahnawake: forty thousand application, twenty thousand annually, but your servers have to physically sit in Mohawk Territory.​
- Costa Rica: not a gambling licence at all. A general business registration. If that's in your footer there is no gambling regulator involved anywhere in the chain.​

The Costa Rica one is worth knowing because it's presented as licensing and it isn't.
 
been reading complaint boards on this for a while and the pattern that shows up isn't outright theft, its stalling. verification confirmed, then the withdrawal sits with no timeline. there's one up at the moment where somebody's been waiting eight days on ten grand with verification already done and no date given. another where a deposit never credited and the account got temporarily suspended the same day
none of that is a licence problem exactly. its what happens when nobody above the operator has to care
 
isn't curacao regulator itself under criminal investigation? i read this somewhere last year. hard to take serious the rules from people who are investigated themselfs
 
that one got retracted and it's worth being accurate about because the story still goes round.

board of financial supervision for curacao and sint maarten sent a formal letter in late 2025 alleging integrity problems and saying the CGA was under criminal investigation. the finance minister rejected it publicly. in dec the board withdrew the claim entirely and acknowledged it had gone on unverified rumour rather than official channels.

what did actually happen is that the CGA's supervisory board resigned in sept 2025, which is its own thing and bad enough without the other bit attached to it
