max spins without bonus share ur pain

there is something nostalgic about those old rtg slots tho even when they don't pay well lol

diamond cats is my guilty pleasure game even tho it nevar hits proper. just reminds me of when i first started playing online. longest drought probably 400ish spins? but i play low stakes so doesn't hurt realy

i swear some of these droughts happen right after software updates or maintenance. had a casino i played at regularly for months with normal results. they did some "technical upgrade" one weekend and suddenly everything went ice cold for weeks. 500+ spin droughts became common when they used to be rare
maybe im paranoid but thet timing was sus af

Software updates to the platform shouldn't affect individual game RNG which is controlled by the game provider, not the casino. However if you're seeing pattern changes after updates, it's worth checking if the casino switched RTP settings (if configurable) or if it's just confirmation bias combined with variance.

Legitimate providers use certified RNG systems that casinos can't manipulate on the fly.

The reality is online slots are designed to have high variance to keep things "exciting" which means long droughts are built into the math.
Land based slots have more consistent smaller wins because players walk away when they're not hitting anything. Online they can stretch out the pain because you just keep clicking.

appreciate everyones horror stories folks that makes me feel less crazy. think the main lesson is what vogafox and shadow said - just walk away after 200-300 dead spins instead of chasing. easier said than done when youre in the moment tho

tbh still gonna play but maybe I'll actually follow that advice next time instead of going full tilt

That's the trap innit. Logic goes out the window when you're already deep in and convinced the next 50 spins will save the session.
Set hard stop-loss limits before you start playing. When you hit them, walk away regardless of how you "feel" about the slot.

reading all this definitely makes me more cautious about chasing features. think i'll follow my 150-200 spin rule and if nothing hits by then just switch games or log off. watching my bf lose hundreds chasing "its due to hit" was lesson enough 😓

It doesn't "have to catch up" in any predictable timeframe. You could go another 600 spins without a hit. Over millions of spins the average works out, but that doesn't help your individual session.

The slot doesn't know it's "below average" and doesn't adjust to compensate. Each spin runs through the RNG with the same programmed probability.

I understand it feels like it should balance out soon, but that feeling is exactly what the gambler's fallacy exploits.
alright fair enough i hear you on the maths side of things but still gonna trust my gut sometimes tho cause its worked out before but yeah probably shouldn't go 600+ spins deep chasing it
