ive been playing book of dead at different uk casinos and swear the rtp feels different. while one site says 96.21%, another dont show the exact number but feels way tighter even though they
is this real and if it is this somehow legal? thought rtp had to be the same everywhere right?

providers create multiple RTP configurations for the same game. like book of dead has variants ranging from 84.18% up to 96.21%

casinos choose which version to deploy and yea completely legal under UKGC rules as long as RTP is displayed in-game...

@FexItFR 84% version exists?? thats bs and how do i know which version im playing?

click the info button in game, rtp should be shown but problem is most casinos dont make it obvious and players dont check

wait £125 a month?? thats nothing like if i deposit £150 and lose £125 they want my payslips?

It's not active yet, just proposed, but yeah the direction is clear - they want to make legal gambling so annoying people either quit or go offshore

sweden did the same thing and what?? everyone moved to crypto. ofcourse the government then acts shockd when they lose tax revenue and player protection goes out the window

back to @dakh_ds question - if you want guaranteed highest RTP versions look at:
  • MrQ - generally runs standard variants
  • SlotsTemple - advertises highest RTP on all games
  • Bet365 - mixed bag but usually decent
  • avoid PlayOJO, lots of reports of lower variants

btw someone just made a thread comparing playojo and mrq actually and conclusion was mrq better for rtp and speed, playojo better for variety
think its relevant to this discussion

@JamieXX thanks will check that...so basically i should avoid playojo if i care about rtp right?

PlayOJO definitely runs tighter variants on popular slots. had this confirmed by multiple players, though PlayOJO wont admit it
classic case of information asymmetry

latest rumour is ukgc planning 1p max spins with £5 yearly loss limit starting april 2026 also mandatory facial recognition for all deposits lol

@Newbie mate please dont spread unverified rumours

current confirmed rules:
- £5 max spin (25+)
- £2 max spin (18-24)
- 2.5 second minimum spin time

proposed but not confirmed:
- £125/month loss triggers financial checks

everything else is speculation

we've lost our course a bit anyway appreciate the rtp info though, will start checking the info panels before playing then
