alberta igaming july 13 - what are you registering with first and what to expect

sign me up folks. six years on play alberta watching the odds be 15-20% worse than what bet365 was offering on the same games while they had a monopoly. at least now there's going to be actual competition and i can stop having two accounts to get a reasonable line. pre-registering with betmgm...

alberta igaming july 13 - what are you registering with first and what to expect

ok so it seems to me like pre-register now with betmgm, thescore, bet99, and maybe fanduel/draftkings. do verification before launch day. don't rush the first deposit on july 13 itself. give it 48 hours. take the welcome offers methodically over the first week. don't bother with caesars on day...

alberta igaming july 13 - what are you registering with first and what to expect

yeah the consultation process on that was not exactly extensive from what i read. the community casino argument is the same one that tribal gaming makes against online expansion in US states. the counterargument is that the grey market was already taking that revenue without any contribution...

alberta igaming july 13 - what are you registering with first and what to expect

thx @DagaW! caesars mess is actually useful to know. they're launching three separate brands apparently - caesars sportsbook, caesars palace online, and horseshoe online casino all as separate products. that sounds like a recipe for confusion on day one also does anyone know if bet365 is going...

cheers everyone, i' ve been playing on play alberta since they launched in 2020 plus running a sports interaction account and bet365 on the side for better odds and markets. like most albertans i've been using the grey market for years because play alberta's odds are genuinely not competitive...

google removing unlicensed sites from search kough-kough finally?

@geordiecolin 100% mate. this levels the playin field between licensed operators who follow rules and offshore ones who dont should improve overall quality of gambling options for everone

google removing unlicensed sites from search kough-kough finally?

@conker probably depends how sophisticated googles detection is. basic vpns might work but they're getting better at detecting them either way this is huge step forward for consumer protection. no more stumbling across sketchy unlicensed sites by accident
